Time makes people very emotional. It has been thirteen years in a flash. On May 30, 2008, I will not forget the day when the association was officially established, because its establishment can be said to be "the beginning of the long-awaited". When Sannuo was listed in Korea in 2007, I saw that the driving force of design innovation on the development of Korean industry was beyond imagination. After returning to China, I began to vigorously advocate the establishment of Shenzhen Industrial Design Industry Association (SIDA) to promote industrial design and industrial connection. The preparatory process of the association was not smooth, and many people did not understand or even objected. All I had to do was keep promoting ideas and ideas to government leaders, entrepreneurs and friends. Finally, on this day, the association was established, and I became the founder president of the association. "All greatness originates from a brave beginning!" This statement is true. If there is no insistence at the beginning, the industry organization of Shenzhen industrial design may not exist for many years, and the situation of Shenzhen industrial design will be completely different.

Since the establishment of SIDA, city leaders have continued to provide support and encouragement. In October 2012, the then Mayor Qin Xu held a symposium on promoting the development of Shenzhen's industrial design. I proposed to promote the "five one projects", that is, to hold an industrial design festival, hold an industrial design exhibition, set up an industrial design fund, and build an industrial design fund. An industrial design agglomeration area and a characteristic college of industrial design. The leaders were enlightened and far-sighted, not only adopted the suggestions, but also issued "Several Measures on Accelerating the Development of Industrial Design" accordingly. At the same time, I put forward the concept of "three modernizations and one center", that is, internationalization, branding, and specialization, centering on the design empowerment industry, which has also been well received. Even now, the "Five One Project" and "Three Modernizations and One Center" initiatives are still programmatic and instructive.

SIDA has always held the heart of gratitude and feedback, and is committed to the simultaneous integration of association growth, industry progress, industrial prosperity and urban development. In the past 13 years, Shenzhen's industrial design can be said to shine. Member units have grown from 48 at the beginning of the establishment to more than 900 from across the country. Driven by SIDA, Shenzhen currently has more than 150,000 industrial designers and related employees, and has built a total of 7 national industrial design centers, 57 provincial and municipal industrial design centers, and 87 industrial design centers respectively. Statistics show that the output value of Shenzhen's industrial design accounts for half of the country, creating a miracle of "using 100 million to move 10 billion!"

We can proudly say: In the past ten years, SIDA has changed the overall ecology of Shenzhen's industrial design, and has created a new path for latecomers to take, and wrote a colorful chapter.

The future has come, and the association will stand on a new starting point and undertake a new mission. In the era of intelligence, the prospect of industrial design is vast. I believe that the association will change from a "push-hand" to a "flag-bearer" as the new president Changhong Feng said, empowering the industry with design, and leading Shenzhen's industrial design to the forefront of the world!
