Sandy Munro, an automotive engineer specializing in machine tools and manufacturing, was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and later joined Valiant Machine & Tool, a company that supplied equipment for General Motors. He joined Ford in 1978 as a manufacturing engineer, and improved engine assembly methods. In 1988, he established his own consulting firm in Michigan.

His company focuses on structural automobiles, analyzing their construction, and has performed analysis on hundreds of vehicles and written detailed reports.
