Jonathan Nelson

Founder of H&F, a well-known hacker community in Silicon Valley

Jonathan is the founder and CEO of H&F, the world's largest community of tech founders with 200,000 members from 118 cities in 44 countries. H&F organizes 40 major events each week around the world.

The H&F Accelerator and the H&F Cooperative have worked with 50 startups that have a combined market capitalization of over $400 million.

Jonathan lives in Silicon Valley and is a serial entrepreneur and software engineer. His previous entrepreneurial projects include a social media site for financial news to share pictures of cats, and a financial news search engine. He founded H&F as a way to build his business network. In 2008, the first event was held in a bar, where five interested geeks talked about their thoughts on startups. Since then, H&F has been expanding at twice the rate of every 8 months.

In 2016, he was appointed by the Securities and Exchange Commission to serve on a committee for small and emerging enterprises. Jonathan has also consulted on other government programs, such as Start-Up Chile, and worked with the former mayor of Bloomberg and White House on how immigration reform can develop the economy.
